I oil painted this stainless steel disc in lavender with a green vein. It is painted silver on the back. Both sides have a glazed finish. It is accented with a pewter scallop shell and a frosted green nugget bead.
The chain is sterling silver with wire wrapped frosted glass nugget beads, silver scallop shell and painted translucent sand dollar glass charms.
This necklace is 21 1/2 inches long with a 3 inch focal drop.
My Use of Mixed Medium Materials
Many of my designs are one of a kind pieces because I often use found objects and up-cycled materials. Beads are also a central part of my designs and some are made by other artists that create a bead in limited editions. For these reasons I may not be able to make more than one of a particular design. However, I may be able to make a piece that is similar.
